Will
Will has been addicted to the mountains since his first ski trip to the Dolomites in the Italian Alps at the age of seven.
Will's story
In the nearly 40 years since then, he's skied all over the Alps, lived and worked there and met his wife and got engaged there.

'I was lucky that my parents were big skiers so they took me and my older sister to the Alps most years. They instilled a love of not just the snow and mountains, but also the countries that we visited. My Dad spoke French and German, which helped us explore the culture and encouraged me and my sister to learn languages. We went to a different place every time, so one year we'd be at high altitude in the French Alps and the next we'd be in a traditional village in Austria. I loved everywhere but Switzerland, where everything ran like clockwork, and Italy where midday would normally involve long pasta lunches on sunny terraces held a special place in my heart.
When I graduated from college I knew I wanted to do something that allowed me to keep exploring, so I went to work for a tour operator that arranged customized trips to destinations around the world. My career involved curating the hotels, activities and transport in places like India, Africa, Southeast Asia, South America and North America. In my twenties I realized that while I could get down most things, I wasn't that good at skiing so I resolved to get better. I trained to become a ski instructor, and loved it so much that I spent a few years working alternate seasons in the northern and southern hemispheres. During this period I met my wife, Carey, who was on a vacation to Val d'Isère, France, before returning to the UK to work again for a major US and UK tour operator.

I continued to explore as much as possible on ski trips, and with my job was able to ski all over the US, in Colorado, California, Utah, Nevada, eventually realizing an ambition to heli-ski in Alaska. It was steep.

I set up America2Alps because I have enjoyed the difference in skiing in the USA, and exploring the places around the ski areas so much, and I believe that difference will really appeal in the opposite direction - so whether you are used to skiing in the Appalachians, the Rockies, the Sierra Nevada or the Andes, you will find something to captivate you in the Alps.
I will use my experience of designing the best trips, customized to what you want, and my deep understanding and knowledge of the Alps and their hinterland to work with you to arrange your dream vacation to Europe'
